Rotating the data frame to true north

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

Once you have defined the layout to use for the map, you can choose to rotate the data frame to true north and update it accordingly.

NoteNote:

The option you choose determines the rotation that will be used for all the map sheets in your map series.

Steps:
  1. Click Rotate to True North in the Rotation list.
    NoteNote:

    True North is a calculation based on the center point of your area of interest (AOI) and the coordinate system of the data frame. A coordinate system other than geographic must be set to see any changes to true north values.

  2. Click Next.

    The Spatial Reference dialog box appears.
