Changing the position of the dynamic text

LegacyLegacy:

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

Change dynamic text placement properties by defining element rules on the Size and Position tab.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. Open a map document with dynamic text or add dynamic text to the map.
  3. Double-click the text to edit on the map sheet.

The Dynamic Text Properties dialog box appears.

  4. Click the Size and Position tab.

The Size and Position tab appears.

  5. Type a value in the X text box.
  6. Type a value in the Y text box.
  7. To use the position as an offset, check the As Offset Distance check box.
  8. Click a point you want to use as the anchor.

The default is the bottom left, but eight other positions can be selected. The anchor determines the alignment of an element when placement rules are defined.

  9. Click OK.
