Choosing the data frame visible extent as the AOI for added map sheets

LegacyLegacy:

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

The Data Frame Visible Extent option can be used to create multiple map sheets over the same area. This can be useful for adding a title page to your existing map series.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > MPS Atlas.
  3. Click the MPS Atlas window button MPS Atlas window on the MPS Atlas toolbar.

    The MPS Atlas window appears.

  4. If necessary add a map sheet by right-clicking the map series and choosing Add Map Sheets.
  5. Click Data Frame Visible Extent under Area of Interest on the Select Area Of Interest dialog box.
  6. Click the Data Frame drop-down arrow and choose a data frame.
  7. Click the number of AOIs you want to use.
  8. Click OK.
