Storing the map sheets in the current map document

LegacyLegacy:

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

Once you have created your map sheet or map series, you can change the storage method. You can store all the map sheets in a map series in the same map document (.mxd). Storage options can be set for the entire map series, under the map series properties, or they can be set individually for map sheets in the series.

If you save by clicking the ArcMap Save button, or by right-clicking the map sheet and clicking the Save Map Sheet, you will only save the all map sheets included in the .mxd file.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > MPS Atlas.
  3. Click the MPS Atlas window button MPS Atlas window on the MPS Atlas toolbar.

    The MPS Atlas window appears.

  4. Right-click the shared map sheet or an individual map sheet and click Map Sheet Properties.

The Map Sheet Properties dialog box appears.

  5. If necessary, click the Storage tab.

  6. Verify that the Current Map Document option is selected.
  7. Click OK.
