Choosing layout sharing

Legacy:

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

When defining the Layout Sharing area of the Map Sheet Properties dialog box, you can choose from the following layout sharing options:

• Map Series (Shared)—When using the Build Map Series or Build Simple Map Series wizard to create a map series, all the map sheets created in the map series will have a shared layout.
• Map Sheet (Single)—When using the Build Map Series or Build Simple Map Series wizard to create a map series, all the map sheets created in the map series will have single layouts. Each layout can be customized without affecting the other map sheet layouts. This is useful when building thematic atlases, or when each map sheet requires a custom layout.

Steps:

1. Choose the Map Series (Shared) or Map Sheet (Single) option.
2. Proceed to one of the following:
