Viewing error information for a single map sheet

LegacyLegacy:

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

If a map sheet has errors, its name appears in red in the MPS Atlas window. There are several things that could cause a map sheet to be in error, for example, if the AOI source data feature class has been removed or if a map sheet has been moved to a new location. The Show Error Information command opens a dialog box that provides descriptions of any map sheet errors it has encountered. To correct errors, you may have to reset the data source for your AOI feature class. This is the most common error.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > MPS Atlas.
  3. Click the MPS Atlas window button MPS Atlas window on the MPS Atlas toolbar.

    The MPS Atlas window appears.

  4. Right-click the map sheet and click Show Error Information.

    The Errors dialog box appears.

  5. Click OK once you are finished viewing the error information.
