Storing the map as individual map documents

Legacy:

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

The Storage tab on the Map Series Properties dialog box offers two types of storage options: in the current map document or as individual map documents. Choosing the Individual Map Documents option allows you to browse to the location where the .mxd file can be saved and then save the map sheet as its own .mxd file.

Steps:

1. Start ArcMap.
2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > MPS Atlas.
3. Click the MPS Atlas window button on the MPS Atlas toolbar.

   The MPS Atlas window appears.

4. Right-click the map series on the MPS Atlas window and click Map Series Properties.

   The Map Series Properties dialog box appears.

5. Click the Storage tab.

   The Storage tab appears.
6. Click the Individual Map Documents option.
7. Click Browse.

   The Browse For Folder dialog box appears.

8. Navigate to the directory where the individual map documents will be stored.
9. Click OK.

   The Storage dialog box appears.

10. Click OK.
