Storing map sheets as individual map documents

Legacy:

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

One of the two types of storage methods available in MPS-Atlas is the ability to store maps as individual map document (.mxd) files. This method allows you to browse to the location where all the .mxd files can be saved, then save each map sheet in the series as its own .mxd file.

Steps:

1. Click Individual Map Documents in the Select Storage list.
2. Click Browse.

   The Browse For Folder dialog box appears.

3. Navigate to the directory where the individual map sheets will be stored.
4. Click OK.

   The Storage dialog box appears.

5. Click Next.

   The Map Sheet Properties dialog box appears.

6. Proceed to one of the following:
