Using the map series page number option

10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

The Page Number tab on the Map Sheet Properties dialog box allows to you designate map sheet numbering by one of two methods: Use Map Series Page Number Option or User Specified.

The Use Map Series Page Number Option automatically assigns a page number for a map sheet according to the page numbering sequence defined on the Page Numbering tab on the Map Series Properties dialog box. Choosing this option causes the User Specified text box to become unavailable.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Toolbars > MPS Atlas.
  3. Click the MPS Atlas window button MPS Atlas window on the MPS Atlas toolbar.

    The MPS Atlas window appears.

  4. Right-click a shared or single map sheet and click Map Sheet Properties.

    The Map Sheet Properties dialog box appears.

  5. Click the Page Number tab if necessary.

  6. Click Use Map Series Page Number Option.
  7. Click OK.
