10.2.1 is the final release in which MPS-Atlas is available for installation. It is recommended that map series created with MPS-Atlas be moved to data driven pages. For more information, see Migrating an MPS-Atlas map book to Data Driven Pages.

Data frame manager

The set of functions that allow data frame properties (such as scale and extent) to be automatically updated when switching between map sheets.

Map series

A collection of map sheets that may share a common layout.

Map sheet

A single map layout that can be printed, exported, edited, or otherwise manipulated.

Shared map sheet

The default setting where all map sheets within a series share a common map document.

Single map sheet

A map sheet that does not share a common map document that is part of the series. A single map sheet can have custom settings on its layout, data frames, and layers.
