High availability for enterprise portals

The documented approach for configuring Portal for ArcGIS is to install it on a single machine. In some organizations where portal downtime cannot be incurred under any circumstances, additional portal machines need to be configured in a highly available fashion. It is recommended that you work through Esri Professional Services if you are considering this type of architecture.
