Labeling features in the BotcharP layer (Maritime Charting)

Labels display an attribute value next to a feature and are useful when creating quality control plots.

The Label BotcharP Layers tool displays a label from an attribute in the upper-right corner of the feature and changes the feature symbol. The BotcharP label expression labels your bottom characteristics based on the following field order, from left to right: Physical Surface Characteristics (PSC), Material Composition Category (MCC), Secondary Material Characteristics (CSM), Material Composition Secondary (MCS), Underlying Material Characteristics (UMC), and Material Composition Underlying (MCU).

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. If necessary, set up the DNC production environment.
  3. Click the Label BotcharP Layers button Label BotcharP Layers on the Nautical DNC toolbar.

The features in the BotcharP layer are labeled.

    TipTip:

To turn on or off labels, right-click the layer and check or uncheck Label Features.
