Description

The field name that you intended to add to your feature class or table is invalid and has been modified accordingly. Using invalid characters within a field name, such as spaces, are a common cause of this error.

Solution

If the validated name is acceptable, no action is required. If you want a different field name, use Delete Field to remove the new field, and try again using a valid field name.
