Enabling the Schematics extension

The ArcGIS Schematics extension can be installed using the ArcGIS complete installation option or by selecting the custom installation option and adding the Schematics installation. If you have already installed ArcGIS, you can use the modified installation option, in a manner similar to the custom installation option, to add the ArcGIS Schematics extension.

After installation, Schematics must be licensed and activated using ArcGIS for Desktop Administrator. Once Schematics is installed and licensed, you must enable it in ArcMap and ArcCatalog before working with it.

Steps:
  1. Click the Customize menu in ArcMap or ArcCatalog.
  2. Click Extensions and check the Schematics check box on the Extensions dialog box that opens.
  3. Click Close.

The Schematics extension is now enabled.

Enabling the Schematics extension does not cause its toolbars to appear automatically in ArcMap.
