Exploring the related objects of an object in a table

This topic applies to ArcGIS for Desktop Standard and ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced only.

In ArcMap, you can explore what objects are related to any particular object in your geodatabase. For instance:

Steps:
  1. Click the List By Source icon in the ArcMap table of contents.
  2. Right-click the table that contains the objects whose related objects you want to explore and click Open Attribute Table.
  3. The table that contains the objects whose related objects you want to explore will open.

  4. Select the objects whose related objects you want to explore.
  5. Click Options > Related Tables, then click the path label for the relationship.
  6. A new table dialog box opens for the related table.

  7. Click Show Selected to display only those objects related to the selected objects in the first table.
