Working with WPS services

Web Processing Service (WPS) is an Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC), specification for exposing geoprocessing models as web services. Using ArcGIS for Server, you can optionally expose your geoprocessing services through WPS specifications.

Esri applications and APIs do not currently support the consumption of WPS services out of the box. However, any application whose programming framework can make web service calls can invoke a WPS service. Various third-party applications and libraries have been developed to facilitate working with WPS services.
