Repairing connectivity

This topic applies to ArcGIS for Desktop Standard and ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced only.

The Repair Connectivity command repairs network connectivity errors in the logical network. See About repairing network connectivity for more information.

Steps:

1. Add the Geometric Network Editing toolbar to ArcMap.
2. In the ArcMap table of contents, select one of the feature classes that participates in the geometric network containing the illegal features.
3. Click the Repair Connectivity command on the Geometric Network Editing toolbar.

   Choose Yes to run Repair Connectivity across the whole network. Choose No to run Repair Connectivity within the current display extent.

   The progress of Repair Connectivity can be monitored in the lower left corner of ArcMap.

   If any warnings are identified during repair of the network, they will be listed in a dialog box after Repair Connectivity completes.

   Note:

   A file listing the errors and warnings generated by Repair Connectivity is created if the string registry setting, RepairConnectivity, is placed in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ESRI\Desktop<ArcGIS release>\Geodatabase with the string value set to the location where you want the file created. For example, if you want the file to be stored in D:\Temp and you are using ArcGIS 10.0, create the RepairConnectivity string in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\esri\Desktop10.0\Geodatabase and set the string value to D:\Temp\. The name of the log file is the name of the geometric network, optionally appended with the current version if on an enterprise geodatabase.
