Uninstalling ArcSDE from Windows

Stop the ArcSDE service, if one is running, then uninstall ArcSDE.

Steps:

1. Before uninstalling the ArcSDE application server and administration commands from a Microsoft Windows server, stop the ArcSDE service.

   You can stop the service from the Windows Services dialog box.

2. Uninstall ArcSDE for <database management system> from the server.

   You can use the Windows Control Panel menu item to uninstall the ArcSDE application server. If you need instructions on uninstalling software, see the Microsoft Windows documentation for the operating system version you are using. You must be a Windows administrator to uninstall software.

3. When you uninstall ArcSDE, you will be prompted to delete the ArcSDE service (if one exists). Click Yes to remove the service.
