Roles in an organization

SubscriptionSubscription:

Being a member of an organization requires an account that is part of an ArcGIS Online organization. See Getting started for more information.

Each member of an organization can have a user, publisher, or administrator role. A user has the same privileges as signed-in users of the ArcGIS.com website, including adding items, creating web maps, sharing content, and participating in groups. In addition, users see a customized view of the site, for example, a gallery of the organization's featured content and the organization's logo on the web pages. A publisher is a user with privileges to publish hosted services from feature or tiled map data. An administrator has user and publisher privileges plus additional capabilities to manage the organization and other users. An organization must have at least one administrator. However, there are no limits on how many roles can be assigned within an organization. For example, if an organization has five members, all five members can be administrators.
