Choosing the data to be adjusted

The first step in the spatial adjustment process is to choose the input data for the adjustment. You have the option to adjust selected features or all the features in the layer. For a transformation, it would make sense to adjust the whole layer, whereas for an edgematch, you might want to work with a selected set. Rubbersheet adjustments can switch between the two. These settings are available in the Choose Input for Adjustment dialog box.

The default setting is to work with selected features. The Adjust command will not become active until some features are selected.

Steps:
  1. Click the Spatial Adjustment menu and click Set Adjust Data.
  2. Choose whether to adjust selected features in a layer or all features in a layer.
  3. Click OK.
