Uninstalling the ArcGIS Web Adaptor (Java Platform) on Linux

Uninstalling the ArcGIS Web Adaptor (Java Platform) on Linux is a two-step process. First, you'll need to unregister the Web Adaptor with the site using ArcGIS Server Manager. Then you'll uninstall the Web Adaptor using your operating system's tools.

Keep in mind that once you unregister the Web Adaptor, client applications will not be able to communicate with your GIS servers. If you want to reestablish this communication in the future, use the Web Adaptor configuration page to register the Web Adaptor to the site again. For full instructions, see Configuring the Web Adaptor after installation.

NoteNote:

You must upgrade ArcGIS 10.1 for Server to SP1 before upgrading the ArcGIS 10.1 Web Adaptor (Java Platform) on Linux to SP1. If you don't follow this requirement, you will not be able to unregister the Web Adaptor with ArcGIS Server as part of the Web Adaptor uninstallation. Unregistering the Web Adaptor is required and this functionality is only available through ArcGIS Server Manager at SP1. To learn how to install ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 for Server, see Installing ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 for Server.
