Activating cascade master/slave deletes (Maritime Charting)

The edit extension will take two courses of action depending on the Cascade Master/Slave Deletes Activated property setting.

Message for deleting associated slave features
NoteNote:

If you check the Don't show this dialog again check box in the warning message, the Cascade Master/Slave Deletes Activated property changes from False to True. As a result, when a master feature is deleted, the edit extension automatically deletes all associated slave features. The property can be manually changed back to False in the Production Properties dialog box.

Steps:
  1. Start ArcMap.
  2. On the main menu, click Customize > Production > Production Properties.

The Production Properties dialog box appears.

  3. Click Nautical Properties.
  4. Click the cell next to Cascade Master/Slave Deletes Activated.
  5. Click the drop-down arrow and choose an option:
    • True—All associated slave features will be automatically deleted without a warning message.
    • False—A message appears and asks if you want to delete the associated slave features.
  6. Click OK.
