Deleting instrument approach profile views (Aeronautical Solution)

Selecting an existing instrument approach profile view element using the Select Elements tool allows you to delete it by using several different methods:

• Clicking the Delete button on the Standard toolbar
• Right-clicking the instrument approach profile view and clicking Delete
• Pressing the DELETE key on the keyboard

Note:

Once an instrument approach profile view has been deleted from a chart, if you undo the deletion, the Detect Layout Changes tool will not detect the instrument approach profile view for that chart. To reregister the instrument approach profile view once it has been deleted, you need to create a new instrument approach profile view for the chart.

Steps:

1. Start ArcMap.
2. On the main menu, click View > Layout View.
3. Click the Select Elements tool on the Tools toolbar.
4. Click the instrument approach profile view to select it.
5. Delete the instrument approach profile view by doing one of the following:
   • Clicking the Delete button on the Standard toolbar
   • Right-clicking the instrument approach profile view and clicking Delete
   • Pressing the DELETE key on the keyboard

The selected instrument approach profile view graphic is deleted.
