Viewing and editing parcels in local coordinate systems

This topic applies to ArcGIS for Desktop Standard and ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced only.

Parcels can be opened and edited in a local coordinate data frame instead of in the projected map.

To open and edit parcels in a local coordinate data frame, check the View and edit parcels individually in a local coordinate system option under the Advanced tab on the Parcel Editor Options dialog box. By default, the Advanced tab is not available. To enable the Advanced tab, the ShowAdvancedOptionsPage registry key needs to be created and set to 1.

When a parcel is opened in a local coordinate data frame, the parcel is always displayed using the COGO dimensions (including scale and rotation) on the parcel lines.
