Loading an abbreviation dictionary

Steps:

1. Enable the Maplex Label Engine.
2. On the Labeling toolbar, click Labeling > Abbreviation Dictionaries.
3. Click Options.
4. Click Open From File if you want to open a dictionary file.

Click Import From Database Table if you want to open a database table.

5. Navigate to the location where the abbreviation dictionary is saved.
6. Click the dictionary file or table.
7. Click Open.
8. Click OK.
