Associating feature classes to a parcel fabric in the Catalog tree

This topic applies to ArcGIS for Desktop Standard and ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced only.

Feature classes can be associated to a parcel fabric in both the Catalog tree and ArcMap. Feature classes can be associated at any time to the parcel fabric and do not need to be associated when the parcel fabric is created.

Steps:
To associate feature classes in the Catalog window, follow these steps:
  1. In the Catalog tree, right-click the parcel fabric with which you want to associate feature classes and click Properties.
  2. The Parcel Fabric Properties dialog box appears.

  3. Click the Associations tab.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Navigate to your feature class or feature dataset in the Associate Feature Classes dialog box.
  6. Select the feature classes or feature datasets you want to associate to the parcel fabric and click Add.
  7. The selected feature classes or feature datasets will appear in the list of associations.

On the Associations tab, you can display feature classes by their feature datasets by clicking the Show feature classes by their feature datasets in the list above option.
