Hiding the Initialization Progress dialog box

In the Configuration Manager, you can enable or disable the Initializing Task Assistant window that appears on ArcMap startup when Task Assistant Manager is installed. The window informs users of the processes that are happening when Task Assistant Manager starts.

The Initializing Task Assistant window appears by default when you have Task Assistant Manager installed. If the setting is changed to disable the window, it can only be changed again through the Configuration Manager.

Steps:
  1. Click Start > All Programs > Task Assistant Manager > Configuration Manager.

The (Administrator) Configuration Manager dialog box appears.

    NoteNote:

If you do not have administrator privileges on the machine, the dialog box title is Configuration Manager, and you cannot change to Task Assistant designer mode.

  2. Click the Settings tab.
    (Administrator) Configuration Manager dialog box
  3. Uncheck the Show Initialization Dialog on Startup check box.
  4. Click Reread Current Settings to undo any changes and return the Configuration Manager to the current settings.
  5. Click Reset to Default Values to reset the default settings.
  6. Click Close.
