Visual Studio integration
ArcGIS Web Applications for the Microsoft .NET Framework supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. The Visual Studio edition(s) installed will determine which Visual Studio Integration feature(s) are available. For example, if Visual Web Developer 2010 Express is installed, the Visual Web Developer 2010 Express Integration feature will be available.
Supported Microsoft Visual Studio editions
- Visual Studio 2010 Professional Edition
- Visual Studio 2010 Premium Edition
- Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate Edition
- Visual Studio 2010 Test Professional Edition
- Visual Web Developer 2010 Express Edition
Integration of the Web Applications Developer Framework with Visual Studio Express Edition offers a subset of the functionality provided by integration of the Web Applications Developer Framework with Visual Studio Standard or Professional editions.
Web ADF integration with Visual Studio
Unavailable features can be added at a later time by installing the required dependency and going to Add/Remove Programs > ArcGIS Web Applications 10.1 for the Microsoft .NET Framework > Change > Modify. The feature that had been unavailable before should now be visible and marked with a red X. Select the feature for installation and follow the on-screen instructions until the installation process has successfully completed.
Note: Uninstalling and reinstalling ArcGIS 10.1 Web Applications for the Microsoft .NET is not required.
