Installing ArcGIS Spatial Data Server for the Java Platform

ArcGIS Spatial Data Server for the Java Platform has its own installation program, separate from the ArcGIS for Server installation. Follow these steps to install ArcGIS Spatial Data Server for the Java Platform.

NoteNote:

You must have a supported Java application server installed before using ArcGIS Spatial Data Server for the Java Platform. See Supported Java application servers for more information.

Steps

  1. Launch the ArcGIS Spatial Data Server for the Java Platform setup.
  2. Click Next on the Welcome dialog box to proceed.
  3. Review the license agreement, and accept if you agree. Click Next to continue with the installation.
  4. Click Change to specify the installation folder or Next to accept the default location.
  5. Click Finish to complete the installation and launch Software Authorization Wizard.
  6. Complete the authorization process. See Authorizing ArcGIS Spatial Data Server for more information.
  7. Deploy the arcgis.war file to your Java application server. Default location for the arcgis.war file is C:\Program files\ArcGIS\SDS10.1\java. For more information, see Web application deployment for Tomcat, Web application deployment for WebLogic, or Web application deployment for WebSphere.
