Vista/Windows 7 IIS requirements

The ArcGIS Spatial Data Server for IIS installation process on Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems requires specific components of Internet Information Services (IIS) to be installed. If these components are not installed, a message is displayed indicating certain IIS components are required, and the installation will not proceed. The IIS components detailed below satisfy the minimum requirements for ArcGIS Spatial Data Server for IIS.

The IIS components listed below are only minimum requirements. If other IIS components are installed, they do not need to be removed.

Steps to add IIS components on Windows Vista and Windows 7

  1. Open the Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off.
  2. Expand the Internet Information Services feature.
  3. Verify that the IIS components listed below are turned on.
