Authorizing your software

ArcGIS Data Reviewer extension for Desktop uses your current ArcGIS license system and requires authorization to be activated. You need to add the Data Reviewer feature to the Esri license manager. Once your license manager has been updated, you can activate the feature through the Extensions dialog box in ArcGIS for Desktop.

Requesting an authorization file

There are several ways to authorize ArcGIS for Desktop Single Use:

The recommended process is to authorize ArcGIS for Desktop Single Use over the Internet by selecting the relevant product and clicking Authorize Now in ArcGIS Administrator after the installation is completed. On the second panel of the Software Authorization wizard, select the default option Authorize with ESRI now using the Internet. If authorizing offline, select the Authorize at ESRI’s Website or by email to receive your authorization file option in the Software Authorization wizard and follow the instructions.

Authorization requires the authorization numbers (similar in format to ABC123456789) provided by Customer Service. Visit customers.esri.com for more information.
