Speed limit settings

You can alter the drive times calculated by Business Analyst Server using speed limit settings. This option can affect the coverage of a trade area. The speed limit settings can only be configured in ArcCatalog.

To configure speed limit settings, follow these steps:

Steps:

1. Start a session in ArcCatalog and follow the steps in Access properties of a map service using ArcCatalog.
2. In the Service Editor dialog box, click Business Analyst.
3. Under Properties, select the Speed limits tab.
   Note:

   This option is for advanced users. It is recommended to keep the default settings for others.

4. Select the dataset from the Active dataset drop-down list.
5. Select the Speed Limits template. This corresponds with the amount of traffic. You can choose from Normal, Rush Hour and Light.
6. Select the Speed Units to Display.
7. Select the speed limit name and value.
8. Select the Snap Tolerance options.
9. Click OK.
