Converting a tin to a point shapefile

Purpose
This developer sample takes a base TIN dataset with terrain elevation data and converts the interpolated elevation nodes into a point feature class.

How to use

If the sample has associated data, you will find that the sample's zip file includes a "data" folder alongside the language folders. However, you will need to update the sample to point to the location of the data once you have extracted all the files.

  1. Compile the application.
  2. Run the application with valid data for the parameters. The first parameter will be the full path to the input tin, and the second will be the full path to the output shapefile.
  3. A new point shapefile will be created from your input tin.
