Monitor operations and data collection with Operations Dashboard and Collector

Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS and Collector for ArcGIS improve the efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness of day-to-day operations within an organization.

Organizations that have purchased either an ArcGIS Online subscription or signed up for a free 30-day trial can access capabilities in both Operations Dashboard and Collector.

Decision makers can use Operations Dashboard to monitor, track, and report on daily operations. Field crews can use Collector to capture, update, and report spatial and tabular information directly from their smartphones. Data captured using Collector can be displayed in Operations Dashboard.

Each app's system requirements are available from its download page.

Operations Dashboard provides an organization a common operating picture to monitor and respond to day-to-day to events. It uses responsive maps, dynamic (and static) data sources to create operational views that include charts, lists, gauges, and indicators, which update automatically as underlying data changes.

Available on Windows desktops and Intel-based Windows tablet devices, Operations Dashboard is a self-updating Windows application that can be installed directly from a click of a link within an ArcGIS Online organization without the need of administrator rights.

More information about authoring or using operation views in Operations Dashboard is available in the Operations Dashboard help.

Collector for ArcGIS provides an intuitive data collection experience that improves field productivity. Field crews can collect data using GPS or by tapping on the map. In addition, they can plan routes and get directions to work locations, use intelligent data-driven forms to improve data quality, capture photos and video of assets, and seamlessly integrate information back into the organization's GIS. Collector can also be configured to use various tools that help tailor the data collection workflow to the organization's business needs.

Additional Collector capabilities allow data collectors to:

  • Find places and points of interest
  • Edit maps that have been shared with them
  • Periodically report their location
  • Switch basemaps
  • Measure distance and area
  • Open bookmarked locations

Collector is designed specifically for iPhone and Android phone devices.

For details about using Collector, see the help for Collector for ArcGIS (Android) or the help for Collector for ArcGIS (iOS).
