Esri hosts a publicly accessible implementation of the latest Geoportal extension at the Geoportal sandbox site. There you can register your organization's resources, practice with geoportal search tools, and see what is the newest and latest with the Geoportal extension.
To use the sandbox site, register by clicking the Register link at the top of the page. On this site, anyone who registers is automatically an administrator, with the ability to register and approve content. If you have questions or need help, context-sensitive help is available through the Help link at the top of each page.
