Enterprise geodatabase support

ArcGIS Server includes capabilities for managing multiuser geodatabases in a number of DBMSs (including IBM, DB2, Informix, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server), including the ability to support a number of critical version-based GIS workflows. The ability to leverage your organization's enterprise relational database is a key advantage.

Geodata services

A number of geodata services are also included with ArcGIS Server. These include:

Geodata Services

Provides geodatabase access, query, updates, and management services.

Geometry Services

Provides geometric calculations such as buffer, simplify, and project.

 

Feature Services

Serves features and corresponding symbology to allow for display, query, and editing of features.

Image Services

Provides access to image services.
