The parcel fabric job XML file

This topic applies to ArcGIS for Desktop Standard and ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced only.

A parcel fabric job XML stream is created in memory when parcels are opened and edited. The XML stream is temporarily stored in memory while a parcel is open. If the opened parcels are edited and the edit session is saved, the edits are stored as mini-jobs in the job book.

Save as XML

You can also manually save open parcels to a permanent .xml file by clicking the Save as XML command on the Parcel Editor menu. This functionality is useful for transferring parcels between parcel fabrics. A saved parcel fabric .xml file can be appended at any time and joined to a parcel fabric by clicking Parcel Editor > Append File.
